At this time, we can only accept checks (personal or business) or cash. If your employer will be paying by check, please send in (or fax) your completed registration form with a notation "employer to send payment." Sometimes it takes a while for the business check to reach us, but if we have your registration, we can easily reserve your space.
If for any reason an institute must be canceled, you will be notified, and your money will be returned.
Cancellations by registrants must be received in writing (or faxed to 617-521-3192, attn. Kris) five business days prior to the workshop date to receive a 70 percent of the course fee refund. (The Office of Continuing Education retains 30 percent of the course cost as a nonrefundable registration processing fee.)

The GSLIS CE office is located in the new building at One Palace Road (Building #1 on Main Campus Map), room P-111K.
The GSLIS Library is located on the second floor of Beatley Library (Building #3 on Main Campus Map).
GSLISCE workshops are measured by Contact Hours. Each hour in the classroom (or online) equals one contact hour. Individual states and their school districts use different terms to record these contact hours.
In Massachusetts, ONE Contact Hour is equivalent to 0.1 CEUs (Continuing Education Units). It is also equivalent to 1.0 PDPs (Professional Development Points).
CEU - All enrolled attendees will receive a Certificate of Continuing Education Units from the instructor at the end of each workshop (online workshops attendees will have the certificates mailed to them).
PDP - Simmons College provides Professional Development Points according to the Massachusetts Department of Education requirements for certification revised as of 7/1/00. For those individuals who request PDPs for (re)certification, please contact our office to discuss your selection of workshops and to verify the number of PDPs offered.
